Description
A Dunun are a family of drums from the Mande Tribe which developed with the djembe in the Mande Tribe. There are three drums: Doundounba (largest),Sangban (medium) and Kenkeni (smallest). They aretraditionally the bass drums in the Djembe ensemble. One person plays all the drums pilled up on each other or one person plays one drum. A slit bell is often mounted on top.
