A weekend of Ghanaian Drumming and Xylophone.
Using instruments from Ghana, looking at traditional rhythms and improvisational techniques. Developing our rhythmic sense and ability to play as a group. Ben aims to set people at ease, giving them confidence in their ability to understand, enjoy and feel the music, filling your head and body with rhythm.
Venue – Whitechapel Cottages a self-catering accommodation on the edge of Exmoor, North Devon Www.whitechapelcottages.com A truly an idyllic rural retreat, situated within an excess of 500 acres of farm and woodland, it comprises a beautiful Victorian farmhouse along with two character cottages. Whitechapel is a wildlife haven with red deer, nature trails and well stocked lakes, with an added flavour of adventurous activities and relaxation. Other facilities – There’s a big games barn with indoor spa and sauna and Barton House has an outdoor spa. Wooded walks – ponds canoeing ..a few bikes..outdoor fire… massage available. Address – Whitechapel Barton, South Molton, Devon EX36 3EG – Accommodation – four double beds, nine singles in farm house and two cottages all accommodation is in and around the old farm yard.
Costs – Per person for the weekend Friday to Sunday. Shared Twin rooms £160, Double room on your own £200. Double room on your own with ensuite £220. Camping also possible in the orchard £140.
